Our Story

Vela Bath and Body started with a love for artistic handcrafting. We delved into soap-making because it combined so many aspects of crafting that we enjoy. The process of creating a successful soap recipe challenges both our scientific and analytical skills, as well as our creative and artistic expression when it comes to the design of the bar itself. After our first batch, we were hooked. We found the process delightful and calming. Plus, it was so rewarding to unmold the soap, and see the product turn into a reality. It felt incredibly indulgent to use these beautiful, enticingly fragrant, handcrafted bars of soap.

It wasn't long before we had more soap than we knew what to do with. They made for wonderful gifts, so we started packaging them for friends and family. The consensus among them was that using our bars of soap was an entirely different experience than using the body washes or common soaps they had in their households. What was a favorite hobby now seemed like something we could share with a larger audience.
